Happening in Walnut Creek
We have done a few of these posts before, where we discuss events that are occurring in our local, Walnut Creek Community. Most recently we highlighted some local events and happenings in March of this year. We thought to ourselves, “Why not do another post for April? There is always something going on in Walnut Creek!”

Northgate High School Annual Spring Egg Hunt
April 2nd, 2015. What a great, family-oriented event! We love seeing these family activities in Walnut Creek where it is great fun for everyone. It will take place on the front lawn at Northgate high school on April 2nd, from 3:00pm-4:30pm. So head on down for games, story time, crafts and more!

Mercedes Benz Dog Adoption
April 4th, 2015. Find your new best friend this Spring! This dog adoption event will take place at Mercedes Benz of Walnut Creek on April 4th from 11:00am-3:00pm. The Animal Rescue Foundation will have adoptable dogs on hand ready to be a part of your family. Go hungry! Lunch will be catered by Kinder’s BBQ!

Great Strides Walnut Creek
April 11th, 2015. Great Strides is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s largest national fundraising event, and there will be a walk in Walnut Creek. On April 11th, from 9:00am-Noon, you can walk to support this great cause. Registration is at 9:00am and walking will begin at 10:00am. This event is located at Heather Farms Park in Walnut Creek.

Shake Off The Winter Blues – Spring Plant Sale
April 11th, 2015-April 16th, 2015. It is that time of year! Time for the Ruth Bancroft Gardens annual Spring sale. This is the source of the Bay Area’s most drought-tolerant plants.

Teacher Job Fair
April 18th, 2015. There are over 500 positions open around Bay Area schools. So this event is designed to help you meet with over 10 districts in a single location. This is a free event on April 18th, from 9:00am-11:00am at Brandman University in Walnut Creek (2950 Buskirk Avenue).

Restaurant Week Walnut Creek
April 19th, 2015-April 26th, 2015. Walnut Creek Restaurant Week is almost here! You know what that means? Amazing food! This is a fantastic celebration of incredible cuisine throughout Walnut Creek. Get that cardio in and spark that metabolism, it is almost time to feast!
