Parkmead has been a great school for families here in Walnut Creek. In fact, my brother and sister (Steve’s two youngest children) attended Parkmead when they were younger. They always came home in great spirits, and the school had terrific parent involvement.
Schools and Real Estate
Schools are a huge driver in the success of a neighborhood. As so many homes are bought by young families, or those who plan to start a family, the quality of education plays a massive role in the decision making process. This means that those who are considering the sale of their home, will likely do well per the current market conditions of low inventory and high demand.
When buying a home, it is crucial to look at the school system even if children aren’t in your picture at all. Why? Because of ensuring your potential resale value in the future. Homes near great schools/districts tend to always perform better on the real estate market, since schools are such a huge driver of the decision making process.
