What Does This Information Mean?
As you can see, the median selling price for homes in this area of Concord is higher than the average for all of Contra Costa County. This isn’t something you’d quite expect for the Concord area.
However, Concord, CA home values have been on the rise since prices for homes in Walnut Creek and Lamorinda area so outrageous. Families can get more home for their dollar in the Concord area. You see families searching for a certain quality of life that isn’t confined to small 1,100 square foot homes built in the 1930s.
With the technology boom in San Francisco, more and more people are taking the route of commuting. Rent prices, and renting in general are simply out of control in the city. So, we see many people coming out into the East Bay who are opting to commute at a lower cost of living. Since renting is essentially throwing away money each month, we are seeing many people buy homes. With inventory being so low, this is driving up home values in the Concord, CA area.
The Cape Cod area off of Treat Boulevard and Cowell Road in Concord is one area that has seen a rise in home values. Another area is the Springwood neighborhood off of Denkinger and Concord Boulevard. In fact, in Springwood our team has had some incredibly successful listings in this year alone. 4637 Candlewood Court was the second highest selling home this year at only 3 bedrooms, with a closing price of $625,000 at the beginning of the year.
