Today we toured open houses in Walnut Creek and Lafayette on the broker’s tour, and there were some great homes to see today. We got to see great open floor plans, homes with a great charm factor and they showed fantastically. To quickly give you some background to this post, the real estate community holds “Broker’s Tour,” days. In much of Contra Costa County, Tuesdays are when many realtors hold open new listings on the market and the real estate community goes around to see these new homes. Typically they are fully public open house events, and hosts would not keep out the public or curious neighbor. In Contra Costa County, homes in; Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Pleasant Hill, Martinez, Concord, Clayton, Moraga and Orinda are held open by their listing agents on Tuesdays for broker’s tour. Homes in; Alamo, Danville and San Ramon are held open for broker’s tour on Thursdays. Typically on these days, homes are held open from 10:00am-1:30pm. Hours can vary depending on each agent.

1345 Juanita Drive, Walnut Creek, CA 94595
This was a nice home in one of our favorite Walnut Creek neighborhoods, Saranap. According to the listing, this home falls under the Lafayette School District which instantly gives it great desirability. Inside the home showed very well, and felt open. We liked the “Junior Suite” in the home, set as a bedroom for kids that had its own bathroom.
We really enjoyed the backyard deck that had some great views of the Walnut Creek area.

2451 Olympic Boulevard, Walnut Creek, CA 94595
Next we saw another Saranap home nearby in Walnut Creek. This home had a lot of charm, but could use some updates. Being right of Olympic Boulevard there was some road noise that any potential buyer will need to take into consideration. This one has some updates, and as I said the charm was there, and makes the home feel comfortable.

181 Sutherland Drive, Walnut Creek, CA 94596
This was a gem to go and see. This home is in the Walnut Heights area and is right next to the Shell Ridge Open Space area. We really enjoyed the layout of this single story home. The master bathroom was a little on the small side, but looking out from the master bedroom is the gorgeous backyard and pool. We loved the kitchen!

2326 Larkey Lane, Walnut Creek, CA 94597
This Walnut Creek home was great to visit. We really liked the setting on this one, and the home really exemplified a “simple charm.” Hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings make this home feel more spacious and comfortable at 1522 square feet. A great highlight of this home is the updated kitchen with an island, dining area and is open into the living space.
