Like months prior, we have another update for you on things to do in Walnut Creek for the month of July 2015. We seem to get a great response on these posts, so we are going to keep them going! We pull the events and activities for this page from external sources, and link to those sources where you can find more information.
For those unaware or new to the area, Walnut Creek is an incredible community in Contra Costa County where the 680 and 24 freeways intersect. One of the bay area’s premier communities east of the Caldecott Tunnel, Walnut Creek is always a happening place. From the incredible shopping downtown, to the wealth of events going on within the community, to family friendly activities.
Exploring Mount Diablo At Twilight, July 3rd and July 31st at 7PM
This one sounds absolutely fantastic, and sounds worth it both days! Volunteers lead free hikes to explore Mount Diablo in a stunning Twilight State. Mount Diablo is already beautiful, I can hardly imagine the incredible sights to be soaked in on a Twilight Walk. Starting at Mitchell Canyon, you embark on a 4 mile, 2 hour hike listening for birds and owls of the area. There is a $6 vehicle parking fee.

Summer Sounds Free Concert, July 9th, 23rd, 30th, 2015 5:30-7:00pm
I always enjoy great live music outdoors in the summer time. Always been one of my favorite environments to be in. The DRAA and Lesher Center are putting on a series of great free concerts outside of the Lesher Center throughout July. The event posting makes note of wine and beer being available! Cool drink, live music, not much better than that!
